This song has so much meaning to me. It came out round about the same time my best friend committed suicide. I kinda blamed myself for not being able to help her, so I guess thats why this song has so much meaning to me.

Kris leaves behind his mother and father which he was very close to, 2 brothers and 1 sister, his girlfriend he planned on marrying her when he got back, he didn’t know he would come back in a box.
This song reminds me of my friend Kris. He died in Afghanistanm, along with 3 other guys, 2 of which were brothers. Kris was the coolest guy I knew. He was the guy you wanted near you in times like these, but in this case, he’s the one that died. I wish I was there for him. He didn’t die instantly. I was back home in O.C. Kris, Rest In Peace.

@mattey2 My X had a herion addication. We had been spilt for years, still friends kinda thing. I asked his friends for help talking to him. I saw it coming. I thought he’d OD’d or something. But instead he killed a guy we all grew up with The guilt I still feel over not being loud enough or trying that little much more I might have saved it from happening to both families. But I didn’t and sometimes it still really bums me out. Song makes me think of that.
