Since the job market really stinks, are you going back to graduate school?

May 17th, 2010 by Rey

If so, what will you be majoring in?

I have a BS in accounting and a CPA but don’t see any point of going back to school…and I am still employed. I believe in never limiting yourself but to take upon every opportunity there is out there. I want to keep on learning but there’s really nothing that interests me.

With the way tuition is skyrocketing?! Not unless I win the lottery, or can get someone else to pay for grad school.

That’s exactly what I did. Went back to school and got a degree as a Medical Assistant. I wound up making more money as an Independent Consultant for BeautiControl and can still stay home and raise my daughter that way, but I don’t consider my education a waste. It’s my “plan B” and the education I received helped me launch my BeautiControl business with a plan in mind. It was simply a life goal to receive a degree so I’m okay with that.

The job market is drying up so I wouldn’t spend more money and waste more time getting more education for a job that may not exist.

If you want to get education for the sake of it and can afford it, then go for it.

    Cheers!
