I recentley joined a affiliate marketing program because it sounded so easy but after I joined it seems to be very confuseing and difficult. I just want to know if anyone has done this and had any positive results and should I stick with it or drop it?

Yes you can make some good money with affiliate programs, but you have to pick the right program and the program has to have a good mentor. It’s just like anything else , you get what you put into it.
To be honest with you, virtually everything I have found on the Net that comes out via Bulk requiring upfront monies is plain ‘scamous’, seeking the gullible!!
That doesn’t mean every single thing has to be, but for the great bulk of people, you would be losing countless $1000s – maybe tens of $1000s – before you actually found anything any good.
Odds are just far too stacked against you.
You would be better off putting a couple of $1000 into a couple of ‘Blue chip’ stock companies – top 100 stuff.
Just check that over some months now, they have been “trending up”.
Get hold of some graphed results of some top companies, and make sure they have generally been going up over the past few months.
Also, in case they take a momentary dive, put in a ‘stop loss’ of no more than 12.5%, becasue they may drop just for the 2 or 3 weeks after you purchase.
But the moment any of them drop below a 12.5% loss, sell immediately “at market” price.

I joined a program called Top Pick at http://www.earnmorecashnow.com It is all about affiliate marketing. At the bottom of that site address is a link that will take you to the forum. You can get a lot of helpful information from them just by reading the questions and answers.
I started affiliate marketing in December 2007, and was totally new to web building. It was hard at first, but I refused to give up. Now I have a website that makes money every day, I know how to edit it, and can fix MOST of the problems without asking for help.
Just remember, people who always give up, will NEVER succeed. So just stick with it and keep trying. You may only make an extra $1000 a month, but then again, you could make $5000 a month!

Yes you can make money but it takes time. It’s risky if you’re doing PPC (pay per click) but if you are using SEO (search engine optimization) techniques to bring visitors to your website then you have nothing to lose (apart from your time of course).
I would recommend using an affiliate network as they are generally more reliable than using in house affiliate programs. Try http://www.cj.com and http://www.affiliatefuture.com
Make sure your website has unique contend and for best results only use affiliate links that are related to the topic of your website.
Don’t have too high expectations though, it took me about a year before I could leave my full time job but I got there in the end.

All of these people are trying to seperate your money from your wallet by promising you fortunes through affiliate marketing.
Take it from a 20 year veteran in the IT field with 10 years in web marketing.
The only way you can make money on the internet is if you have a unique product people can use or want, and it fills a niche.
Being an affiliate simply means being one of thousands of others trying to do the same as you. The days of spamming millions and getting rich off the 1-2% response are over since the CAN-SPAM laws. Now you can see huge fines and even jail time.
Don’t get sucked into this. Look for something unique – look for smething that isn’t being done out there – or something that is that you can do even better.
I own a conglomerate that has 9 subsidiaries, all doing something totally different. Only one company is multilevel based, another is direct sales. The other companies are retail based or consulting services.
I found needs in various industries and found ways to fulfill those needs.

Honestly, I tried it, but didn’t put much into it. I ended up with what I started with…nothing. I’m guessing that if you put effort into it and treat it as you’re business, your hard work will pay off. There really is no such thing as making money effortless unless you’ve already struggled to get to the top and now you’re sitting back making money while others work for you. No matter where you are in life, you have to put in work and invest your time in order for any program out there to work.
