fucking amazing, Im having all NINs albums played at my funeral, most influential music i’ve ever listened to.
@JusCallMehEmz go read trents/nin’s wiki page. and youd learn nin was “just the beginning” and hes not so much supporting her and giving her music to sing but they are working together to create this music. though, im sure writing will be majority trent as usual.
@RyanCoomer because its a long down-tempo song? thats weak
This is fantastic!
Cool that the name of the band is of course a tribute for Coil which made remix for Reznor and it’s mindfucking. And this is good song i must said that i thought it would be shitty but she’s really good at going with atmosphere of everything. It’s cool not so cool as NIN but maybe it would be
@RyanCoomer
ahahahhaahhaaha sadly true.
my god how can u ppl say she has a beautiful voice. …. damn !
@LeviathanoftheDanube
yup, was 1999-2000, (separate) interviews in american and australian edition of Rolling Stone. just googled it. long incubation period…
She has an average voice to tell the truth. Don’t glorify her too much just because she’s Trent’s wife. I listen to a lot of female vocalists and this woman’s voice is nothing special really. I like the song very much though
Cool they remade “The Day the World Went Away” Yaaay!
I don’t think NiN is dead, but I think it’s great that he’s supporting his wife’s career. She has a beautiful voice and if Trent wants to help her pursue her dreams, I think that’s great! I hope he brings back NiN, because that is HIS Legacy. If this is how he wants to finish, that’s fine too. I think it’s wonderful that he loves his wife enough to play beside her, he’s a great man!
great stuff. trent is an amazing artist. it is great he is still making music. he is also working on new NIN.
I love the trademark piano work. When you hear that piano and those note combinations, you know it’s Trent Reznor.
awesome! the vocal is second to the music (although still absolutely essential) and that’s perfectly fine with me. I always loved nin for the sound first and the vocal second. Cant wait to hear more, i’ve been a bit disappointed with recent nin albums despite still being my favorite music by a mile i always find my self wishing to hear more downward spiral and fragile type of sound. But this i like a lot
i remember when he said he was looking for a female vocalist to work with him during and after The Fragile – I always wondered if anything serious would come of that – I now have my answer and am very pleased with it….
@AnaBGD i think thats the way she was supposed to sing this song like, is that feeling of being numb what moves her, kinda what Trent does on some of NIN’s songs. I do agree on the right were it belongs samples though
@AnaBGD thats the point of her vocals, is that feeling of being numb what moves her, she kinda sings like Trent on some of NIN’s songs
I like the sound. Trent is the Man.
@NINrandosity yeah i was thinking the same thing lol
i like it…but her voice needs more emotion…
@NINrandosity
I agree,it reminds me of “right where it belongs” a lot
i think theyve used some piano samples from ‘right where it belongs’ by NIN, does anyone agree???? xx
Trent is a genius of sound design.
@ShogaNinja
Not all of Trent’s music needs intense vocals. I’ve assumed you’ve listened to this song. Case in point. I don’t even know why you included the rest of that stuff in your reply. It’s useless information. You don’t need to be a good vocalist to know what one sounds like. And I never said he wasn’t a professional. Trent is a living legend. His voice has shortcomings that he overcomes with his superb vocal delivery.
im feeling it big time !
