Do you know any maple neck guitar that is a bit older where the clear coat doesn’t come off? I don’t
Good Question and There are about 10 coats of clear over the fret board just like a Fender maple neck has.
Why didn’t you use the same veneer as for the body for the fretboard and the headstock? Would have looked nicer I think.
And won’t the paint from the fretboard come off if you play it too much?
it would have been sweet to open the mouth of the dragon
Where I can get good detailed schemes, with all sizes?
thank you very much
That video will be out soon. It is not that difficult. Thanks for watching
what if you want the head stock to go diagonal like gibson?
Now thats pretty cool -. I use a 1/2 router bit.
Good luck and send pictures.
I will be using a CNC milling machine to cut out body as well as mill out my pickup cavities and neck pocket to make sure that they all line up well, I was wondering what size bit you used to route the cavities and neck pocket?
they sell an aerosol can and spray cup for less than $25.00, I have never used spray paint I don’t know where to start but there is nothing wrong with experimenting it can always be sanded off. But I still would use acrylic.
If i dont want to spend the extra money on an airbrush but i still want a sunburst effect, how well would spray paint work. And if it does which one would you recomend
I am assuming that your guitar is 22 fret, from the first 16 seconds. I am using the metric system so 22 frets is around 466 cm (18.34 inch) according to a table i found that measures the fret distances. However I want to make a 24 fret guitar, which is 485.7cm (19.125inch). Marking the bridge 32.4cm (12 3/4inch) from the 12th fret (at 7min:40sec) should be slightly longer, how long would that be from the 12th fret for a 24 fretboard, also when measuring is it in the middle of the 12th fret? thx
may take time lol it wont be finished this year :S
Very Cool send pictures.

i plan on making the adam clayton (u2 bassist) banana shaped bass guitar that he used in the popmart tours
y first Guitar was built in High School 1975 and my design was a copy of a Gibson Flying V. I used a fender Strat neck and every thing else were parts from Gibson. You left out maple fret board, a hard rock maple is what I like for fret Boards my next choice would be Rosewood but that is my opinion. you’ll have to figyur that out for your self.
for timberwork year 12 Higher school certificate, we have to make a major project, it can be anything, i have chosen the guitar, there are several different opinions on the wood types that you should use for the fretboard, i have heard rosewood and ebony are the best, i want a strong, clean heavy metal sound, which would be the best to use?
I also want a unique body, came up with few designs but haven’t uploaded. Any tips that could score good marks for a highschool project?
It is your Guitar so do what ever you want.
That’s the beauty in building your own Guitar. Good Luck
Can i just buy the neck and other elctronic guitar pieces at a store?
Why don’t you watch the whole series before you make Comments, The frets are installed in part three.
he never put frets in
Not a guitar I would buy really. But thats just my personal decision. Its a nice guitar, no doubt about it, i just dont think i could handle the outlandish shape and colours to be honest with you. A nice and well made guitar though absolutely. XD
you would have to at least have a dremel tool. I also wouldn’t suggest such a radical body shape. Also buying body blanks offline is a good idea.
we dont have that all objects
