@ihategordonstoun, its because U2 were different with their earlier sound, they were actually more of a “punk” band (I use the term punk lightly). My uncle remembers them playing in a pub in front of about 50 people when they started off. But what really set them off was their performance at Live Aid. U2 became famous for being a really good live band, not necessarily for their music. Thats my opinion on them anyway. (From someone who doesn’t even really like U2)

Hahaha hey crazy guy may be i didnt mean or explain well: i hate U2 a lot too, they are a supravalorated band that hasnt done any since 80′s, they are one of the great big lies of nowadays music…i only tried to mean that from all that awfull bands, they were the one that got more famous and rich and i cant understand too why people is as stupid as lambs when it goes about music…hehehe lets create a U2 antifan club mate!
